The "I Don't Know" Minister
Can we have a man that Knows Our God?
Joel Osteen told The Washington Times that he is constantly “looking for new ways to influence the culture.” Our culture admires those with low theological commitment and high emphasis on attitude. In Joel Osteen's case, it is the secular culture that has influenced the minister, and not the minister that is influencing the culture.
Why is he looking for "new ways to influence the culture"! What is wrong with the truth of the past 2,000 years? Because HE doesn't know the truth!
n same-sex marriage - "You know, we are for everybody"!
Relationship with Oprah - She stated, "God is a feeling experience, not a believing experience." (How can you experience something you don't believe in?)
Tongues - "When you receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, you receive a supernatural language and a supernatural power." "For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. 1 Corinthians 14:2 KJV The Bible tells us the minute we accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let everyone of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” Acts 2:38

Then why in the so called Prosperity churches the only ones that are rich are the ministers and top leaders - not the PEOPLE of the CHURCH actually paying the bills? Osteen states, "Does God want us to be rich?" he asks. "When I hear that word rich, I think people say, 'Well, he's preaching that everybody's going to be a millionaire.' I don't think that's it." Rather, he explains, "I preach that anybody can improve their lives. I think God wants us to be prosperous. I think he wants us to be happy. To me, you need to have money to pay your bills. I think God wants us to send our kids to college. I think he wants us to be a blessing.
